概要
SystemBase「TALUS」はBluetooth機能のないPCでBluetooth機器との通信を可能にするBluetooth USB ドングルです。最大100mの距離で通信できるClass1 Bluetoothに対応。工場のような広い空間でBluetoothを利用したデータ伝送ができます。また、Bluetoothv4.0+EDRに対応します。
工場等での設置に適したClass 1 Bluetooth
当初個人向け機器の10m程度の近距離無線通信技術として出発したBluetoothは、通信距離別に最大100mの通信距離を持つClass1、30mまでのClass2、10mまでのClass3に分化して各種用途に対応しています。WCS-232 v6.0はBluetooth Class1に対応し、工場のような環境に対応できる通信距離を確保しています。
Bluetooth v4.0+EDR
EDRはEnhanced Data Rateの略語で、速いデータ伝送のためのBluetooth通信技術のことです。初期に開発されたBluetoothが最大1Mbpsの通信速度をサポートする反面、EDR機能を使用すると最大3Mbpsまで通信速度が増加します。したがって、TALUSはより速い通信を実現します。
幅広いBluetooth プロファイルに対応
Bluetoothはユーザーが使用する目的によって個別のProfileがあります。TALUSはSPP(Serial Port Profile)、HID(Human Interface Device)、A2DP(Advanced Audio Distribution Profile)など多様なProfileを提供します。したがって、ユーザーは様々なBluetooth機器をTALUSを利用して接続することができます。
